This colt has every chance to race as a 2YO! Not only was he an early August foal, but he's also by one of the best 2YO black type performer producing stallions in the land, SPIRIT OF BOOM! Spirit of Boom is currently sitting in second this season for 2YO stakes wins & 2YO winners, and he is the current leading 2YO sire for wins. This is a trend that dates back throughout his time as a sire, including his first crop which produced 5 individual stakes winners.

THE SIRE – SPIRIT OF BOOM:
This elite stakes winner producing sire has firmly cemented himself as one of the best Queensland sires to date, so it was no surprise that a large number of our short-listed yearlings at this sale were by him. He was Champion Queensland Sire for 4 seasons in a row – The 2018-2019 season to the 2021-2022 season. Spirit of Boom is currently sitting in second this season for 2YO stakes wins & 2YO winners, and he is the current leading 2YO sire for wins. He now has 29 individual stakes winners and runs at an elite 82% winners to runners ratio.

Spirit of Boom firmly secured himself a spot as one of the best Queensland-based racehorses of all time in his career under the guidance of his trainer Tony Gollan, based out of Eagle Farm. He famously recorded wins in two of the top Queensland Group 1 races, the Doomben 10,000 and the William Reid Stakes.

His progeny have also followed in his footsteps of dominating Queensland horse racing, with the likes of JONKER winning the Group 1 Manikato Stakes and the Group 2 Victory Stakes. PRINCE OF BOOM is another example out of many other black type winning progenies, with wins in Group 2 races the Moreton Cup, Spirit of Boom Classic and WJ Healy Stakes.

This mare by Not a Single Doubt raced as a 2YO & 3YO, with 4 placings. Her pedigree page is absolutely covered in black type, including half-brother SHADOW HERO – who in a short racing career of 16 starts managed to secure 4 wins, all black type including the Group 1 Randwick Guineas, the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes, the Group 3 Gloaming Stakes and The Phoenix Listed Race. This colt is Lady Grazier’s second foal. Her first foal is 2YO.
